Hotel und Restaurant Marcus in Malchin

Absolutely unacceptable hygiene! The "fresh" bed linen had blood stains, brown smear and several short to long hairs. The toilet also had brown stains and the tiles in the bathroom had not been wiped for a long time. The bed linen we asked for was just as dirty and wet. We were offered to change rooms, but we feared something similar. Our money was not returned after an early checkout, only the money for breakfast. So we paid about 55 euros for a dirty room that we didn't sleep in because of the disgust. It's a shame, the boss and the receptionist seemed nice, but hygiene is not one of their skills ...

Well, I wouldn't book privately there. Breakfast rolls are very small. And the rooms are showing their age. Clean cobwebs on the ceiling would not be removed. In the time that I was here.

I needed a room very spontaneously and that's what I got here. The price was just okay, the cleanliness could be better. The TV socket suddenly made worrying noises. The toilet seat suddenly slipped away while sitting on it, the shower head was extremely calcified and one of the shower doors could not be moved. Since I've been here to eat before, I know the outside facade is quite new. I hope the interior will also be renovated quickly.

Nicely located hotel in the middle of Malchin, parking available in front of the house. Staff is very friendly and helpful. One point of criticism is the very small bathroom, it's not easy for a tall person here. Price / performance are in line here.

The location of the hotel is really great, very central but there is still a lot of catching up to do in terms of cleanliness!

Went to dinner with 6 people at 6:30 p.m. Staff extremely unfriendly. The food with 2 people was quite good. With 3 people so-so. I ordered Hawaii Toast because I felt the prices were too low and wanted to be on the safe side. Toast was baguette, boiled ham was more like mortadella. Complaint was not accepted. Beer without carbon dioxide and too warm. Unfortunately, I can't recommend it. The so-so-rib roast consisted of 85% fat and 15% meat. Dumplings without taste.

There are 5 stars for the nice employees and the Nordic direct and very helpful boss, who is happy to help with questions about the ship, would even have lent us his charged battery for the electric motor! The own restaurant is really good home-style and, like the hotel, inexpensive! The hotel itself has a mix of furniture from decades ago. There is no WiFi in the rooms! A cleaning set was on the bedside table, was forgotten and the toilet continued to flush. The TV got off at midnight, after that there was no more TV. But why watch TV when the good is so close? The city is an insider tip on the Lake District! This is not a grand hotel here. Still full marks because the hotel is clean, the people are friendly helpful, the location is great and the price of 54 euros is fair and reasonable. We'll be happy to come back here again! Ideal for cyclists and by boat.

There is no internet in the rooms, the doors to the rooms are old, remember communism.

Room 6 - Visited with three persons (family). Small but ok. Breakfast was a small buffet, but there was something to choose from. For a small trip completely sufficient. Bathroom was small but clean. Nice personel.
